WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!

Beall’s Hill is the place we choose to be our home. It is a vibrant neighborhood which welcomes diversity. We are thrilled by all the improvements we have seen in the last 18 years as a result of a revitalization project started by Mercer University, the City of MaconHistoric Macon Foundation, and the Macon Housing Authority. We cannot thank Centenary United Methodist Church enough. They have been involved in our community for a very very long time. As neighbors we feel engaged in our community.

We are proud to say that we are the home of the 2006 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, our very own Alexander II Elementary Magnet School. Your child can register for this school without entering the lottery if you live in our neighborhood. In our front yard we have Mercer University, and in our backyard we have The Medical Center, Navicent Health. We are also a short walk from one of Macon’s best soul food restaurants, the Bear’s Den, where we can eat with friends and family or just take out when we feel too lazy to cook. Over the years, more new businesses recently moved into the nearby Huguenin Heights neighborhood: Z-Beans Coffee House, Francar’s Buffalo Wings, Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant, SubWay, NuWay Weiners, and a Pizza place coming soon.

Beall’s Hill Neighborhood’s southwest border is the north entrance of Mercer University and Tatnall Square Park (corner of Ash and College Street); the northwest border is at College Street and Appleton Avenue by Mount de Sales Academy. Our northeast border is the corner of Arch and 1st Street, adjacent to The Medical Center of Central Georgia; and the southeast border is the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Telfair Street.

Thank you very much for visiting our homepage. Come and visit our neighborhood. We are looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
The Beall’s Hill Neighbors.
